F5. This character from Marvel Comics is based on which ancient Egyptian deity associated with healing and preservation (her name may have meant "she of the ointment jar"?

A. Bastet (not, as far as I know, prefixed by the Egyptians with a "bleddy..."), also known as Bast or Ubasti.

Tough one this time -- garnered only a couple of correct answers, and some very wild guesses!

    1. The sequence of questions is engineered to get people to be able to guess at the Themes and the Master Answers at the right times. That is, answers to questions make guessing at individual Themes progressively easier, and the sequence of getting the Themes is such that getting the Master Answer is not easy to begin with. Theme E is a bit of a giveaway, and the clues to the Theme are also rather straightforward, so I'm holding that for later.
