C4. Though the drinking of tea is often parodied as a typically British pursuit (in 'Asterix in Britain', for example, the Britons call off the battle at five every evening in order to indulge in this 'national pastime'), it was introduced into British high-society in the 17th century by the Queen of King Charles II -- the lady shown in this statue in Lisbon, Portugal. Name her.

A. Catherine of Braganza

    1. Ha! How did both of us go for Isabella on a random guess? Who is Queen Isabella, anyway?

    2. Queen of Castile and Leon who sponsored Columbus's expedition. Probably the only other queen from that region and time whose name one would know, which is perhaps the reason both of you went for the same wrong answer.

Unless, of course, you guys routinely confer on the phone about what answer to give for these questions, and you are now feigning surprise to throw us off the track!
